The Regulator is a simple device that allows you to quickly and accurately measure the distance between two cornhole boards.

How it works:

  1. Attach The Regulator to the bottom of one board using the supplied screws (1 inch behind the back of the hole)
  2. Pull the knob/string through the board hole towards the second board. When the string stops, that is where the front of your second board should go
  3. Walk the self retracting string back to The Regulator (NOTE: Do not allow the string to snap back to the regulator as it can potentially break and will not be covered by the warranty)

This is the fastest and most convenient way to measure between boards. No more walking off paces or pulling out a measuring tape. The Regulator is already installed under your board and ready to measure the distance any time!

  • The string is very strong rated at 150lbs and is the exact length from the installation point to the front of the second board
  • The Regulator stays hidden out of the way on the underside of the board during play
  • Easy to install using the three included screws into almost all wooden boards. As long as you have 4.25 inches between the back of the hole and the back part of your frame, The Regulator will fit. (Not recommended for plastic boards)

The Regulator 2.0 is great now that I don’t have to carry a measuring tape everywhere I play. But depending on your boards you may have to make adjustments. I personally have the pro light boards from cornhole solutions, and the exact measurements that the regulator calls for you have to mount the regulator under the top brace sort of to the side it throws the manufacture measurement off by 1 3/4 inches so I had to undo the manufacture knot on the end of the string and shorten the string. But after that it gives me perfect measurement every time. And there is some pressure behind this springy little device so if you pull that string out you better have a tight hold or it springs back and will destroy your regulator. But overall it has took a lot of headache out of the set up process. Very convenient little tool.

Im always hesitant to put screws in nice boards but it was easy to install and no issues with the screws (didn't go through, didnt splinter the wood). I installed it on bg boards. Once installed its super easy to use but as it warns you need to be careful not to let the string go so you do need to have both boards somewhat set up (or have someone ready to move the second board in place).

The only knocks I would have would be that its somewhat questionable at one point in the string is exactly 27 feet so you need to measure at first to get that point for your setup. For those that don't care if its off an inch or two, this would matter.

Overall super happy with it and will be getting sets for my other boards. Tried a somewhat similar product at the same time to see which was best and this one was far better (just tossed the other one).

Hope this helps someone when looking at this product.

The regulator is not worth the money

The assembly is easy. But if the knob slips out of your hand RUN. The regulator springs back with so much speed and force it detaches from the board. My daughter nearly lost her eye, and the device was trash.
